CanonBreak.com (the “Site”) is operated by CanonBreak Media LLC, a Maryland limited liability company (“CanonBreak,” “we,” or “us”). These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Site. By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it. These Terms do not replace any rights that applicable law does not allow you to waive.

1. The Site and its content

CanonBreak publishes news, commentary, reviews, interviews, and other material about anime, comics, and related entertainment. We may edit, correct, remove, or discontinue content or features at any time. Publication dates, release plans, pricing, availability, and other facts can change. Opinions are those of their authors. Site content is for general information and entertainment, and you should verify information that matters to a decision you make. References to third-party products or creators do not imply affiliation or endorsement unless we say so expressly.

2. Rights in content

Unless stated otherwise, CanonBreak or its licensors own the original text, design, logos, and other protected content on the Site. Names, artwork, characters, clips, images, and trademarks of other parties remain the property of their respective owners; their appearance does not imply endorsement. You may view the Site for personal, noncommercial use and may link to its public pages or share brief excerpts with attribution as permitted by law. You may not republish full articles, scrape the Site at scale, remove rights notices, impersonate CanonBreak, or use Site content to train a commercial model without our permission, except where applicable law permits. Nothing here limits fair use or other legal rights.

3. Acceptable use

Do not use the Site unlawfully, interfere with its security or operation, attempt unauthorized access, distribute malware, automate excessive requests, or post material that violates another person’s rights. If comments or other public features are offered, do not post threats, harassment, spam, deceptive impersonation, private information about others without authority, or infringing material. We may moderate or remove submissions and restrict access where appropriate, but do not promise to monitor all activity.

4. Tips comments and other submissions

If you send a tip, comment, image, or other material for possible use on the Site, you represent that you have the rights needed to submit it and that it does not knowingly infringe another person’s rights or contain unlawful material. You retain your ownership. You grant CanonBreak a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, reproduce, edit for length and clarity, publish, display, distribute, and promote that submission in connection with the Site and related CanonBreak channels, with the right to use service providers for those purposes. This license lasts as long as the submission is used or retained for legitimate editorial, archival, or legal purposes. We may choose not to publish a submission and may remove it. Do not send confidential material unless we have expressly agreed in writing to keep it confidential. A submission does not create an employment, contributor, or payment relationship.

5. External links and services

The Site may link to or embed third-party websites, videos, stores, advertisements, or services. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, security, products, or practices. Your dealings with them are governed by their terms and privacy practices. We may identify advertising or affiliate relationships where applicable.

6. Copyright concerns

8. Disclaimers

We do not guarantee that Site information will always be current or error free. Nothing in this section excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Limits on liability

To the extent permitted by law, CanonBreak Media LLC and its members, personnel, and service providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of or inability to use the Site, including lost data, profits, or opportunities, even if advised of the possibility. To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for claims arising from the Site or these Terms is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us for Site services in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Responsibility for your submissions

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to reimburse CanonBreak for reasonable losses and costs, including reasonable legal fees, resulting from a third-party claim that your submission infringes rights or violates law, or from your material violation of these Terms. This does not require you to reimburse us for our own misconduct or for claims unrelated to your conduct.

11. Changes and disputes

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version and new effective date. The revised version applies to use after it is posted; changes will not retroactively govern earlier conduct. Maryland law governs these Terms to the extent permitted by law. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, disputes arising from these Terms or the Site may be brought in courts with jurisdiction in Maryland. Before filing a claim, you may contact us at the email below to try to resolve it informally. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent lawful.
